People On The Trip

Trip Report

Instead of camping, we Tanner and I crashed at the Lakeview motel in Tupper. Fairly nice room, a bit spendy for the location. On the trail by 7 including a Stewarts stop. The hike in was spectacularly bad due to a decision by yours truly to take the horse trail instead of the blueberry footpath. This probably added 30 min or more to the trip and resulted in getting soaking wet. Rain ended by the time we hit Ward Brook Leanto. Hike up Seymour was uneventful, the 46ers have flagged the tricky bits and the trail is obvious. We got sun on the summit and some views of the rest of the high peaks including Allen. 5:15 from car to summit. Hike down was nasty as the slides were wet. From Ward brook to car via Blueberry footpath in 1:45. Total time car to car in 9 hours flat. Dinner at the lumberjack.

The Good and The Bad

The Good:

Finally getting a new peak this season. Passing another group on the way out.

The Bad:

Horse trail to Ward brook truck trail. Never ever use this trail. It is full of PUD and mud.

The Drive

Easy.
