People On The Trip

Trip Report

Great weather. Slept in the car. Started out around 5:30am to be back before dark. Started off badly, right after the gate, was a small pond in the middle of the road from all the rain. Made great time to Bradley Pond and continued our jaunt up to Herald Square. Took a right there to find ourselves at Panter within 20mins - a rather muddy trip, but awesome views at the top! Ate a cliff bar and some granola before heading on over [to what seemed like a very long trip] to Santanoni. Luckily, we followed what we thought was a "view" trail which turned out to be to Santanoni - the other we figured would've taken us back to Couchie [ugh] - note: when you get to Time Square, go behind the rock and not to the right! We summited around 11:30 and took the new/old trail back. It was a little rough going, especially when the trail ran right into a small/big "river" with a log stretched only half way. It was quite the leap! Interesting trail, highly reccomended - it cuts out most of the gross mud to Bradley Pond! [and only took us about 3 hours to get back to the car from the summit]

The Good and The Bad

The Good:

Views, not having to do Couchie again...

The Bad:

Rain water raised all water levels and created mucky mud at the top

The Drive

Rain on the way up, decent time on the way back
